Clinical Research Center "CRC-TBRI" functions as the clinical research arm of TBRI, which will be ingrained into the fundamental mission of the institute.

Drug Evaluation and Discovery Unit
The unit has been assigned by WHO/ African Network for Drugs and Diagnostics Innovation (ANDI) as Excellence Center on Anti-trematodal R&D
Nano-Biotechnology Unit
It is a multi-disciplinary research unit designed with the objective to promote and support the development of new systems for diagnostics and disease treatment
Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Unit
It has been established for R&D and process development for lab scale and pilot scale production of recombinant proteins of commercial importance.
Tissue Engineering and Cell-Based Regenerative Therapy
The center was established in the year 2009 under the supervision of Prof. Hanan el Baz (Professor of Immunology, TBRI)
Monoclonal Antibodies Unit
The unit was established for trial production of Monoclonal antibodies that started in 1990, the official production started in 1992.
Schistosome Biological Supply Centre
The Schistosome Biological Supply Centre (SBSC) was established in 1989 at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute TBRI.
